At the same time, large national banks were becoming increasingly aggressive in building relationships within the agriculture sector, creating stronger competition for attention and trust. We needed to remind farmers why the FLB was the best option out there.

Stir began with discovery and consultations with members of the farming community to better understand the realities, challenges, and perceptions surrounding agricultural financing in Nova Scotia. We also reviewed previous advertising efforts to identify opportunities for stronger messaging and more effective channel selection.

Based on the research, Stir developed a strategic media and messaging framework along with a creative campaign toolkit for digital, social, and print advertising. The campaign positioned the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board as the only lender fully focused on Nova Scotian producers — offering flexible financing solutions designed around the realities of farming in the province. The result was a campaign that reinforced FLB’s local understanding, sector expertise, and long-term commitment to Nova Scotia agriculture.
